A small after-school group at our Penrith clinic, led by Bronte Bow, Certified Facilitator of LEGO® Based Therapy. Two participants of the same or similar ages build communication and social skills through shared play. Everyone is welcome to join at any point in the term.

Building communication and social skills through shared play
Our LEGO® Based Therapy Group uses the shared interest many children have in LEGO® bricks as a fun, motivating way to build social communication and language skills within a small, supported peer group. Sessions are led by Bronte Bow, Certified Facilitator of LEGO® Based Therapy.
Participants work together on shared LEGO® projects, taking on different roles with opportunities to communicate ideas, listen to others, negotiate, problem-solve and work towards a common goal.
Term dates
Dates follow the NSW school term, and you can join at any point in the term. We'll confirm the final dates with you when you enquire.
Expressions of interest and waitlist now open. Once we receive your expression of interest, we'll be in touch to discuss suitability and availability and to set your start date. Everyone is welcome throughout the term. Places are limited to support a small, collaborative group environment.

Yes. Everyone is welcome throughout the term. We’ll talk through availability and set a start date that works for your family.
The group runs weekly on Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30pm, through the school term. Term 4 2026 runs Tuesdays 13 October to 15 December. Term 1 2027 runs Tuesdays 9 February to 6 April. Dates follow the NSW school term, and we’ll confirm them with you when you enquire.
The LEGO® Based Therapy Group is for participants aged 6 to 18, mostly school age. We group two participants of the same or similar ages together.
Two participants and one facilitator, so every child has time to contribute.
Café Club, Make a Mate, The Bake Off and Movie Club are coming soon in the summer school holidays. Dates and bookings open closer to the time. Tap “Tell me when dates are out” and we’ll let you know. Holiday groups are put together around who signs up, and we group participants loosely by age and ability.
The programs are run by our therapists as group therapy sessions, using speech pathology and occupational therapy goals. They are funded from the Capacity Building budget (Improved Daily Living). We’ll talk through how it fits your plan before anything is confirmed.

The 1-hour face-to-face group fee of $193.99 is divided between the participants attending. With two participants, this is approximately $97 per participant for the face-to-face component. This may vary slightly if another participant provides an early cancellation. An additional 15 minutes of individual non-face-to-face time per participant covers clinical note writing, session planning, resource development and progress monitoring. The group is funded from the Capacity Building budget (Improved Daily Living).
Our usual cancellation policy applies. Late cancellations within 48 business hours, and non-attendance, will be charged in accordance with the Service Agreement.
