Register Now for Therapy Care’s fun-filled School Holiday Program
The summer holidays are fast approaching and Therapy Care has designed a schedule of activities that is sure to excite and educate school-aged children (8-18 years of age).
Running from Monday, 10 January, to Friday, 21 January, the two-week program is designed to keep young NDIS participants engaged and social during the summer holidays.
Read on to find out about a few of the fun activities we have in store!
Indoor Rock climbing ⛰
Our school holiday program participants are going to a creative climbing centre. Participants will challenge themselves and conquer activities designed to bring fun, joy and laughter! Rock climbing is a great way to improve physical fitness and cognitive skills. This team building exercise encourages climbers and their anchors to communicate effectively in a safe environment.
Fishing
We’ve made a big effort to include an array of outdoor activities in the school holiday program. Fishing is a great activity to evoke mindfulness and expose participants to the great outdoors! It also requires a certain amount of skill and attention.
Ice Skating ⛸
This summer holiday, we’ll be cooling off at an ice skating rink The venue is completely accessible and accommodates all skill levels. This will definitely be a day participants will not want to miss!
Sushi Cook Off
Participants will challenge themselves and each other on our Sushi Cook off day. While all of our activities are selected with the intention to spark joy, they’re also chosen because they inspire independence and transferable life skills. Participants will develop the following skillsets:
✔ Cooking and food preparation,
✔ Object finding in the shopping centre,
✔ Money handling,
✔ Instruction following, and
✔ Cleaning up.
